A team at the University of California at Berkeley has created a one-of a kind vending machine using 3D printing technology, which can create 3D prints from uploaded renderings immediately, eliminating any lead time consumers might experience when ordering from a vendor.

3D printing: A new era across industries

The machine, called the Dreambox, uses cloud technology for the uploading process and gives users a code to open a locked drawer into which the final product is delivered.
