Friday Tweet Beat: DiGiorno Pizza Kills It Live-Tweeting “The Sound of Music Live”

If you’re struggling to find your brand footing on Twitter, just is look to the brilliant team at DiGiorno Pizza.

The frozen-pizza maker live-tweeted the pop-culture event of the year, “The Sound of Music Live” starring country singer Carrie Friday tweet beat: DiGiorno Pizza wins the Internet live-tweeting “The Sound of Music Live”Underwood, hijacking one of the top global trending hashtags of the week, #TheSoundOfMusicLive. Twitter was alive with the sound of millions of fingers furiously tapping out their opinions and bon mots about the NBC spectacular, but none were quite as fresh as those from the Nestlé-owned DiGiorno brand.

And, according to BuzzFeed, the tweets were entirely “unplanned.”

Let’s take a moment to pay our respects to a creative team that was able to tie Nazi-occupied Austria, a governess-employer love affair and a troop of singing siblings to frozen pizza with hilarious, effective results.
