Based on a survey of 3,500 sellers in 117 countries as well as a consumer poll, the report shows that Walmart is attracting more sellers, and that selling on the marketplace is highly profitable.&#8220;With relatively fewer sellers than other popular e-commerce platforms, fewer fees, and access to Walmart\u2019s global supply chain logistics, Walmart\u2019s third-party platform offers convenience and a large, loyal customer base with less congestion or competition than other e-commerce channels,&#8221; Jungle Scout said in its study.Since it launched in 2009, the Walmart Marketplace has been steadily growing as the company makes a concerted effort to grow its e-commerce sales. Still, its share of US e-commerce sales remains much smaller than Amazon&#8217;s.However, Walmart&#8217;s online growth is remarkable.
