Consumers are spending more time on their mobile phones than any other device — with over 80% of that time spent in apps. However, the conversion rate for mobile shopping is lagging behind traditional desktop-based digital commerce. Are people really waiting until they get home to make purchases? 

Shoppers are comfortable doing product research, making price comparisons, but for some reason are apprehensive to complete the transaction on their mobile devices. Why is that?

As we embark on this quest for the higher mobile conversions, we find there are three obstacles keeping consumers from converting via mobile.

The infographic below identifies the three challenges keeping retailers from those higher conversions with the Holy Grail of mobile conversion being… a native app! More than 79% of smartphones owners use apps to help with shopping, yet 56% of retailers said that apps are not a key element in their mobile strategy to consumers.
