Head of Strategy and GTM, Commerce Cloud
Chris Hauca joined SAP in August 2018 as Head of Strategy and GTM for SAP Enterprise Commerce within the SAP Customer Experience business unit.
In this role, he oversees strategy, go to market, and solution management for SAP Commerce Cloud and other commerce solutions. Chris sees a tremendous opportunity to further grow the commerce business and the broader SAP C/4HANA suite by enabling a truly integrated suite tailored to specific industries.
Prior to joining SAP, Chris was Managing Director and partner in the Commerce practice at Accenture. During his four-year tenure, he built a commerce practice in Europe and managed the global relationship with SAP Hybris (now known as SAP Customer Experience). He covered many industries including retail, CPG, discrete manufacturing, and chemicals, delivering commerce insights and capabilities in B2B, B2C, and B2B2C business models.
Chris joined Accenture through the 2013 acquisition of Acquity Group, where he was a partner. At Acquity Group he ran the ecommerce practice that generated 45% of the company’s total revenue. In late 2009, Chris made a strategic bet on building a Hybris practice and quickly built the leading Hybris consulting practice in North America. His team won top Hybris partner awards every year from 2010-2013.
Chris has spent the vast majority of his career working with global clients helping them realize the opportunities that digital commerce transformations can bring to their brands and bottom line. He believes that the biggest challenges are always solved by seeing the many smaller issues that together make the challenge look impossible.
He has lived in Europe since 2014, where he enjoys the diversity and opportunities that exist for global business. He lives in Munich, Germany with his wife, two sons and their family dog. In winter months, the Hauca family of ski enthusiasts carefully monitor the snow forecasts so they can avail themselves of the snow-covered mountains.
